Wisconsin/Warner Bros. Screenplays
Tino Balio, Series Editor
THIS SERIES IS COMPLETE
Original Series Description Published for the Wisconsin Center for Film and Theater Research, the Wisconsin/Warner Bros. Screenplays series, a product of the Warner Bros. Film Library, will enable film scholars, students, researchers, and aficionados to gain insights into individual American films of the Golden Age of Hollywood in ways never before possible.
The screenplays are primary source documents that will explicate the art of screenwriting as film transcriptions cannot, and will help the user to understand the arts of directing and acting, as well as the other arts involved in the film-making process, in comparing these screenplays with the final films. Each volume includes the final shooting script (including revisions made during production), key frame enlargements, script notes, related materials (including many previously unpublished documents), and a critical introduction by a carefully selected film scholar or researcher.
