Stephen King's America Jonathan P. Davis Popular Press Stephen King is one of the world's premier storytellers, and there are elements in his fiction that place him among American authors such as William Faulkner, John Steinbeck, and Flannery O'Connor. Jonathan P. Davis aims to heighten awareness of the numerous American issues that resonate throughout King's fiction by examining such topics as the struggle for moral health; the corruption of innocent childhood; technology that often exceeds its understood potentials; the rewards and sacrifices within a free-market society; the balance between autonomy and collective social harmony; and survival in an adverse world.
